A wallpaper border with big polka dots. The Polka Dots wallpaper border lines up large solid circles on a continuous band in a darker shade of the same colour. The background makes all the difference: a dot placed straight onto the wall melts into the paint, whereas here it is framed and gains presence. The result is crisp, a little seventies-graphic, and perfectly legible from across the room.
Where to hang it. Above a desk, to frame a work corner; as a headboard, in place of a picture; at dado height in a living room or hallway; or right under the ceiling, to make the room feel taller.
Five colourways. The dots come in orange, yellow, green, blue and pink, each set on a deep band from the same family. Orange and yellow are the sunniest, pink the softest, green and blue the calmest. In all five, the dark band does the same job: it gives the pattern its backbone.
