A checkerboard wallpaper border to wake up a wall. The Checkerboard wallpaper border takes up the checkered pattern in its most direct version: two rows of staggered, unadorned squares that run horizontally. The result is clean and rhythmic, somewhere between retro graphics and bistro tiles. It is an 8 cm high strip, so a light intervention: it structures a bare wall without making it a patterned wall.
Where to put. itThe checkerboard isn’t just for children’s rooms — it works wherever a white wall lacks relief: above a desk or under a shelf, to emphasize an existing line ; in a corridor, halfway up, to give length to a passage space ; around a door or window ; at the head of the bed, or halfway up the wall in a child’s room.
Nothing prevents it from being placed on two levels, a few tens of centimetres apart, to create a double line.
Four colours. The checkerboard comes in blue, yellow, red , and black. Red and yellow assume the pop side and awaken neutral walls; the blue remains calmer; Black plays the graphics card and goes with almost everything.
Simple, water-based. installationThe paper is pre-glued : you just have to moisten it to activate the glue, without buying any glue separately. A clean, smooth wall, a little water, and the wallpaper border is in place.
